Pinacoteca di Brera
The best collection of art in Milan is housed in an imposing building of the XVII century, the Palazzo di Brera. Here, in the eighteenth century, was founded the Academy of Fine Arts; the pictorial collection has developed together at the academy. Inside there are magnificent examples of the Italian Renaissance and Baroque art, including paintings by Piero della Francesca, Mantegna, Bellini, Raffaello, Tintoretto, Veronese and Caravaggio. The collection also includes works by some of the most famous artists modern Italian.
