PORTO CESAREO

Situato sulla costa ionica a 54 Km da Taranto, 37 da Gallipoli e 28 da Lecce, su un arenile dalla sabbia bianchissima. Sono presenti parallelamente al porto delle isolette coperte di vegentazione. E' un centro balneare peschereccio molto caratteristico, famoso anche per la pesca delle triglie che vengono trasportate anche per via aerea sui mercati di consumo dell'Italia settentrionale. La cittā si č sviluppata dal punto di vista turistico negli ultimi anni con presenza di alberghi e villaggi turistici lungo le spiagge sabbiose dello Ionio. Ancora molto da scoprire della localitā dal punto di vista archeologicopoco per la sua storia millenaria.

It's situated along the Ionic coast, at 54 Km from Taranto,37 Km from Gallipoli and 28 Km from Lecce, on very sand-beach. Parallel to the port there are some little islands covered of vegetation. It's a very typical fishing seaside resort and famous also for fishing red mullets sent by air till the most important markets of northern Italy. This town had it's own developing tothe touristic possibility and espe- cially during the last years in having the presence of touristic hotels and villages along the sanding beaches of Ionio sea. It's remains again a lot of archaeological side to discover.
