An exclusive refreshing bath for body and mind at Monticelli Spa steeped in the midst of a 20,000 square-metre green park in the borough of Montechiarugolo (its famous castle, which has belonged to the Marchi family from Parma since 1870 is one of the best-preserved manors in the province of Parma) and a long way from any industrial installation. Its thermal waters are renowned for the treatment of ear, nose and throat complaints and diseases of the locomotion system.As well as water gymnastics, in the 120 square-metre pool and the five special pools, there are also the traditional rehabilitation therapies.The Monticelli Spa offers "package" stays, which include board and treatment, in its Delle Rose and Delle Terme hotels which have inside thermal departments. The thermal swimming pool is linked to the Delle Rose Hotel and a new rehabilitation centre is connected to the latter.The Delle Rose Hotel has its own aesthetic medicine centre and a well-equipped beauty farm. Monticelli's strong sodiobromidiodic mineral waters (13 degrees Baum) contain mainly sodium, calcium, chlorine, iodine and bromine; iodine and bromine in a very high percentage.At Monticelli, thermal baths are combined with mud treatments using clay enriched with all the active components of the sodiobromidiodic water.
